Scary Night at Allatoona Battlefield Pass
Last weekend we went on our second trip. Friday at the Battlefield Pass that I went to in Trip 1.
On Friday I went out to the pass with 2 other people: my friend Jennifer from trip 1 and my girlfriend’s sister that has never been to the pass and first time ghost hunting.
Equipment:
-EMF Detector
-2 Flash Lights
-My Girlfriend’s Photography Camera
It was around 10:15 when we first went into the pass, the moon full and bright, for nearly 25 minutes it was very quiet and calm. We started at the fort at the top of pass. Nothing of interest particularly happened. Heard pine cones fall from trees, possibly a squirrel, that’s about it.
After the fort we walked back down to the pass and followed it to the grave of the unknown soldier. PLEASE NOTE: for ghost hunters this is a pretty popular area for paranormal activity. Most of the activity occurs around this grave. While at the grave we feel a breeze and heard all the trees around us waving in the wind. When looking up at the trees none were moving. What is odd is that the only waving tree was the one we were standing directly under. Still, we felt a light breeze, however, the sound we heard sounded like a strong wind blowing through the entire forest.
After this event we walked nearly 20-30 feet away from the grave. I made another decision to turn off our equipment and sit in the pass to listen and observe all around us. As we did so Jennifer noticed a light mist forming from the trees down by the grave. About 2 seconds later Emma also noted so. I could not really notice what they were seeing (it was too dark for me and I was constantly taking pictures). I look at my watch and make note that at 10:54pm Emma and Jennifer noticed white mist from trees. Seconds later, Jennifer makes shape of horse + man walking circles in the road. Emma stares a few seconds trying to see this and finally notices. Emma, at this point, fears for her life. I constantly take pictures of this area and my eyes are not as adjusted as these two. Jennifer and Emma also note that they see people with guns in the road looking at us.
Here is the picture I took at exactly 10:54pm, the moment Jennifer and Emma see a horse down the road:
Here is a zoomed picture:
We decide to approach what they are seeing. As we are walking down the road approaching this mist they both explain that is it leaving the road, moving towards the woods to the left. I stop the group and hear what sounded like feet dragging through the leaves in the woods directly to the left of us. Jennifer and Emma both agree to hearing this and are in “alert mode”. I tell Jennifer to shine her flash light at a bush in the woods. About 0.2 seconds later we hear VERY LOUD, VERY FAINT animal go running through the bushes/leaves off to the woods and sound vanishes about 5 seconds later. At this point we leave the pass to the parking lot.
As a group we decided to go get some food and call it a night. Arriving at the Waffle House, Jennifer cannot find her phone. After searching her car for 5 minutes we came to the conclusion it was at the pass. We jumped in her camp and went back to the pass. Once arriving back at the parking lot, near the spot we were sitting on the concrete wall before we left we noticed a strange, old cloth laid out. NOTE: This cloth was not there when we had left.
Here are some pictures of the cloth we found:
We decide to take the cloth and go into the pass to find her phone. We get about 40 feet in the pass and hear noises in the leafs at the top of the cliff. We decide to stay put and listen… A minute later a LOUD noise down the road almost like a thick stick breaking in half was heard by all of us followed by noise of something RUNNING toward us down the gravel road. We ran out of the pass back to the car.
Arriving at the car we all go to get into Jennifer’s car and her keys are missing. We look all over the parking lot and cannot find them. Me and Jennifer go into the pass to find the keys, Emma stayed at car afraid to re-enter. Me and Jennifer heard noises around us while looking for the keys but we ignored them as best we could and ran out of there. Called it a night, her phone was found the next morning.
Further Analysis
I wanted to also build off my last post about our first trip. In the first trip I saw what appeared to be a horse in the mist:
I’m not sure if this is coincidental with the other “horse” pictures I had received. I did show Emma some of the other photos we got on our first trip and she noted in an overlooked photo what also appeared to be another “horse”. I admit the photos could be our imagination I just thought it was interesting so here they are:
Overlooked photo from first trip
I’m not sure what to think, you decide…
